LODGING

Last year, nearly all of our rooms were booked before half of our students enrolled, many with just one or two people in them. PLEASE help us by filling the rooms with as many people as there are beds. We have raised room prices but your costs will be lessened if you add roommates ($10 for each additional person up to the number of beds in a given room). When reserving rooms online during registration, you will be able to invite or add roommates. Also, please let us know if you have medical conditions that require you to be on a ground floor or near the refrigerator, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: You can add more guests to a room than there are beds, but the discounts only apply based on the number of beds in the room. Example: a room in the Barn has two beds. The discount is applied to the second guest only although you might add one more guest with a sleeping bag. ALSO, in rooms where linen is provided, the allotment is based on the number of beds, not guests.

TENT CAMPING
If you prefer a more outdoor setting, tent camping is available for $15 per night per family campsite (up to three tents, one family) in the "Fort" next to the lake. It's a wonderful place to camp and there are sinks and bathrooms available, but no showers or electricity. You are welcomed to shower in the Conservatory dorms. Small BBQs are permitted if there is no fire ban. You may camp on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night (Oct. 25-28).

RVs
For those who would like to stay in their RVs at the retreat, the rate is $20 per night and the price includes electrical and water hookups. Unfortunately, there is no dump station. You may park in the RV area on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night (Oct. 25-28).

DORMS
We will have two dormitories available this year located next to the Music Conservatory. Males on the left side (called "Mens Dorm") and females on the right side (called "Womens Dorm"). Each dorm has separate bathroom and shower facilities. The rate is $20 per person per night. There are two counselor rooms with twin beds in each dorm with a shared private bathroom between the counselor rooms with a rate of $70 per night with a $10 discount applied for an additional guest. Youth under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. The beds are twin size and you are required to bring your own bed linen and/or sleeping bags, pillows, and towels. Dorm beds and rooms may be reserved for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night (Oct. 25-28). Check out is 11 a.m.

PONDEROSA and HIGH CHAPARRAL LODGES
Two of our teaching facilities have four rooms each containing three twin beds and one bunkbed (twin up and down). These make ideal lodging for families, however, the bathrooms and showers are public and because families are normally include male and female members, privacy protection requires that signs be placed on the doors when in use by one gender or the other. The room rate is $120 per night (2 night minimum) with a $10 discount applied for each additional guest up to four. You are required to bring your own bed linen and/or sleeping bags, pillows, and towels. Lodge rooms may be reserved for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night (Oct. 25-28). Check out is 11 a.m.

MOTEL ROOMS
We have reserved three motel complexes on the grounds -- the Barn, the Alamo and the Hacienda. Each room can accommodate more than one person, so it makes good sense to try and find a roommate to save on costs.

COTTAGES (Sorry - ALL RESERVED)
If you are looking for privacy and comfort, we have seven cottages located throughout the grounds but close to the class buildings. These are wonderfully decorated and are perfect for families or small groups. Each cottage has two bedrooms with one queen-size bed and two twin beds, kitchens and living room areas with TVs. The rate is $175 per night with a $10 discount applied for each additional guest up to three ($200 for Red Brick cottage). Cottages may be reserved for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday night (Oct. 25-28) and YOU MUST RESERVE AT LEAST THREE OF THE FOUR DAYS. The photos below are: outside view of two cottages, living room, kitchen and dining area, room with two twin beds, room with queen-size bed. Check out is 11 a.m. Click on a photo to enlarge.
